Notes:
Ex-Atlanta Transit System/Ex-Metropolitan Atlanta Regional Transit System coach 873 leased to GCRTA in the early 80's and later purchased. Coach was refurbished by the GCRTA and used on LOOP service in the mid 80's. When sent to Cleveland, 873 was in an all white paint livery with silver sides and came complete with the "City Slicker" name plate which the early Atlanta buses used in place of the GM name plate.
873 was originally acquired by our Museum as a vehicle to paint up to represent the CTS blue paint scheme. Now that we have coach 641 to represent this, we are planning on keeping this coach in the 80's RTA LOOP livery as we aquired it.
This is the oldest TDH5303 in our collection. This model was the most popular of all the GM "New Look" coaches with over 6,000 manufactured by GM between 1963 and 1967. Many of this model of coach would see service for 15 years or more and a 20+ year old TDH5303 in service was not uncommon. Even today a few of these veterans still may be seen in active service.
